I'm just kind of "building" a CRF. Just putting parts together on my computer, just to see how much it would cost, because i'm bored.

Anyways, Walsh says the Walsh CRF450 frame is a 250R geometry.

So if I was to ever build one(someday man, someday) would I buy 250R a-arms, swingarm, steering stem, etc. etc.

I would think so, but i'd figure id ask:confused:

Thats right 250r geomety=250r parts.

Good luck with it if you ever build one.

no no no, walsh use's there own geometry just like roll and laeger does..you will not be able to use 250r a arms or swingarms on a walsh crf chassis.
walsh chassis do use all 250r parts OTHER then chassis parts...ie.brakes, plastic, seat, axle, carrier, etc....

but 250r geometry doesn NOT = 250R parts

What do you use then?

you have to use a complete walsh chassis, frame, sub frame, swingarm and a arms.

this is my crf

What about on the K&K website, there CRF quad has the LSR chssis with gibson parts, so are you sure its not just walsh that you have to use all the same parts for? maybe K&K just fabricated it for the gibson parts to fit.

I'm told that most of the aftermarket frames use 250r front end components, 88/89 swingarms, 250r radiators and 250r rear ends. I have a crf450r quad(lsr frame) and it uses 250r parts. It has a roll long travel 250r front end, roll 250r steering stem and 250r rear end.

yes you guys are correct, im not saying that aftermarket frames dont use 250r parts, they do.
im saying 250r parts does not always mean 250r geometry.
some aftermarket frame companies such as walsh laeger and roll design use there own geometry, in these cases you have to use a arms that are also made for that aftermarket geometry frame.
example....aftermarket frames that use +4 a arms are not 250r geometry.you wouldnt put a +4 a arm on a lsr chassis, it would be too wide, you would put a +4 a arms on a narrow front end frame like the walsh laeger and roll.on a stock geometry frame(non narrow front end) like lsr and houser youd use a +3 arms.
also the rear ends on aftermarket geo frames is differnt, they use a cr500,crf450 or no link rear, in this case you couldnt use a 250r shock.

Is the Walsh wait still 5 months for a complete cahssis? I may buy one if I can get one pretty fast.

So when you get a frame from Walsh. Would you end up getting a almost rolling chassis(minus spindles, hubs, axle, etc.)

When you go to there site. They don't list there A-arms or swingarms for the "CRF Frame" its either 400EX, 450R, YFZ, 250R, Cannondale, etc. etc.

So apparently you have to call them:confused:

P.S. I have no clue why i'm asking, I have a hard time getting my Cannondale together, let alone building a hybrid.
