kick start for 400ex

im not sure where to get the kit but im pretty sure it will run you about 1200$. not worth it in my opinion

Probably easier to put a 450R motor in there.

all it is, is a xr400 bottom end. not hard. can be had for cheap.

hey guys, my atv mechanic and myself (maintenance mechanic by trade) are going to start working on putting the motor back together next friday. i can't wait, but he has 3 450rs to get back together and ready for racing. i will not tell any of his secrets, but when i am done i will gladly share any info and problems i had with this 400 (???ex rebuild). by the way 1st through 4th has a higher ratio gears on the xr. we think we came up with a way to over drive 5th a little. i will let yall know. i promise. later mike j.
