Does anyone know how to remove powdercoat so I can read my vin number.....I need the vin for insurance reasons....

The Eastwood Co. makes stuff thats like paint thinner, and they claim it will remove powdercoat. Might be BS though, Im not sure. I forget what the stuff is called though.

isn't the vin stamped on the motor too?

IDK...if it was stamped on the motor that would be really sweet....Anybody know?

the frame and motor have 2 different vins

Think it would matter what vin I gave the insurance company....
????they just need it for coverage...and where about on the motor is it?

it should b on the topside of 1 of the middle cases. when i insured all my bikes i had to give them both vin#s.

Hmm...they only asked for "the vin number"....so I dunno i will try to find a pc remover....and if nothing else just give em the one on the motor...does anyone know the name of the prodoct or a link to in from eastwood?

Can you see the numbers any? Most times you can put a piece of paper over it and go over it with a pencil and the numbers should show up in the shading.. Depends if you can kinda feel them..

nah..I can't really see them unless the angle of the light is just the right way....I can't feel anything when i rub my fingure across it...

I cant seem to find the vin on the motor...can someone point me in the right direction....sorry this is my first quad..not real familiar with it yet:ermm:
