ok im going to start looking for parts for my 400. right now i got a full bill balance hmf exhaust. i was thinking of a cam but not sure if stage 1 or 2 would be better. seems like i should bore it at the same time.
is a stage 2 more track then a stage 1? i mostly ride dunes and trails. i dont race.
ive thought about getting the 440 powroll stroker so i dont have to bore the cylinder as much. i mostly run 110 octane in it right now but every so often on vacation trips ill run 110 and 91 octane.
ive been told the edelbrock carb is good by not reliable in dunes and oregon and stuff.
right now im in reno nv and just wondering how to get some power out of this boy and still keep it reliable.

to keep reliability go with a stage 1 (bottom-mid power) hotcam and a 416 JE 10.9:1 compression piston (since you already run high octane)

that should give you loads more power and still be able to be reliable

right now im thinking about getting the 440 stroker from powroll which uses the 440 so i should be good with 91 or better gas. anything else?

yeah....i figure it wont get as hot as the 440 bore kits....little safer and more reliable....plus probably easier to kick over. dont think im going to run an edel though....maybe just a bigger mik or somthing along those lines. ive heard the edelbrock is bad at sea level or dunes. just a question.....what are you being quoted? time and cost?
