What is a hybrid quad?

Hi,

What do people mean when they say a hybrid quad... all I think of when I heard about a hybrid vehicle is that it is both electric and gas powered... are these quads powered electronically or does this mean something else??

a hybrid quad is usually a 250r or 400ex frame with a variety of motors in it, such as the yz426, ktm 520, or the crf450 dirtbike motor
