my buddy has an '87 R that he bought...the cylinder is bored only .60 or .80 over....he says that it is a 338 stroker motor but i know the cases haven't been honed or anything..is this even possible? he says its a piston from a cr that gives him this displacement. what kind of displacment roughly would this be??? thanks for any input!

It's possible to go 310cc (stock stroke) without machining the cases. Add a stroker crank on top of that, and it may be possible to get to 338. I could calculate the displacement by bore and stroke and give you a definitive answer, but I just don't feel like it right now.
