This is for a 300ex. Let’s say you had a +2 swingarm that has had the stretch put on it in front of the shock mount, causing the mount to be farther back when compared to stock geometry. A stock length shock will cause the quad to be lowered, if it will even reach. Is there any other shocks that might be a little longer and would mount up on the 300ex easily?

Sounds like a long shot to me. Even if you find a shock that is the right length the valving, spring rate and stroke may be way off. The only possibility with that setup is to have an aftermarket shock company build a custom shock.

I understand that the valving and spring rate can be fixed. If a shock can be found that fits and has a stroke length that is close to what is needed why could it not be built to specs?

I'm sure it can be done. I doubt it would be that much better than a good aftermarket stock length shock and aftermarket swinger though. I could be wrong though.
