hey guys I really need a faster quad to kill my friends with. the lowest cc quads they have are a warrior and blaster, the rest are 400ex's, z400's, predators, 450r's and yfz450's. i can keep up with most of the bigger but i can never take them in a race or anything. i was thinking about buyin a older quad that i could maybe get for the same price as my 03 300ex, i cant spend anything more because all my money is going into my mustang.

but anyway, whats the difference between a lt and trx?? besides companies is the trx that much faster?? any disadvantages or advantages?? besides it being a 2 stroke and not having reverse...

maybe i could find a older used 400??

any input would be great, thanks

there is a bunch of differences, and for them being older they will need rebuilt to keep up with a new 450. also the new 450's are as fast if not faster then a modded 250. why not get a banshee if your just wanting to go in a straight line? is all you care about is having bragging rights on being who is faster?

i dont want to go in a straight line.... im talking about woods/jumps/track/road and everywhere we race, im kinda learning towards the 400 cuz i think itll last longer and will take longer to need a rebuild

if your runnin in the woods and everything you should get the trx

and practice a lot, a guy with a 300ex could take a yfz and a 450r in the trails and stuff, its all the rider, if i got a bike that will do 100mph it ain't ganna matter if i can't control it in the woods or on the track

PRACTICE IT UP MAN

good luck and have fun

Most pro riders would still be running a 250R if they could. The quadracers are fun, but when the R came out they almost completly dissappeared from racing, whats that tell you? A 250R in good shape and well equipped is still able topple any compettion from 4 or 2 stroke.

yeah i know lol, ive smoked all my friends in the woods, im seriously the better out of all of us in the woods but id like to have the advantage of a little more speed if ya know what i mean..

i think im gonna move away from the 2 strokes because i need to stop spending money and im goin to have to get a rebuild, with a 4 stroke i can do all the simple maintance like valve adjustment my self

its a 94 gt, swapping it from aode to manual + putting in a cobra engine

a stock 250 cannot hang with the new 450's in engine performance, not even lightly modded. get a cannondale, they're relatively cheap, run great, handle great, but do require maitenance and make sure you know the facts when looking at one. www.cannondaleriders.com

yeah, once you got the skill for riding, upgrade bikes like you pretty much said

sounds like a cool mustang project

and yeah, man, sticks are the $hit!:D

Who runs a stock 250R?

Get a 250R and use the extra mony that would have been spent on a thumpa to make it ride better and go FASTER. Or you can try to find a built 250R in the $4k~$5k range.
