i just bought the esr 310 bolt on kit.fully ported mx,woods.esr pipe.off the start it cuts out.midrange it rips then cuts out on top.i checked the plug and it is a cardboard brown color witch i think is right.im running a .180 jet.what i need to know is how to tell if you need to go leaner or richer.will it richen as outside temp gets warmer or get leaner.also the higher the jet is the richer or leaner.this is my first 2 stroke and i want to figure out the jetting so i dont have to pay someone to do it for me every time the temp changes.thanks alot.....

Higher number jet = richer.
The warmer the temp = richer.

Higher number jet means a larger hole for fuel to go through, which means more fuel=richer.

Warmer air is less dense. One cubic foot of warm air actually has fewer molecules than cold air. This also means less oxygen, and with less oxygen, you need less fuel. So as your outside temp gets warmer, you need less fuel. If you're still putting in the same amount of fuel as you did when it was cold, you're jetting is too rich.
