New CDI is not getting spark. Stumped!

I bought a Ricks Electronic Motorsports CDI box for my 300ex. The quad turns over, all lights work, pretty much everything but spark. I plugged the stock one back in and it fired right up! I'm stumped guys is it bad or what?

these aftermarket cdi's that are new and not modified oem's seem to be of inferior quality. i've heard of quite a few like this now. you should call them back and see what their warranty policy is.

yeah i think it sounds like you got a bad one.i hope they will work with you because a lot of places wont let you return electronics.i hope you can cuz that would be some B.S if you couldnt..:(
