Well, probably your best bet is to use automotive paint that you can get from an auto part store. But, being paint, it will wear and chip pretty badly especially on your a-arms and axle.

What type of prep work have you done so far?

It's not that no one can tell you what to paint it with, it's that the parts you're wanting to paint are going to get beat to heck and no one wants you pissed at them after the paint starts chipping. There's nothing you can paint those with that won't chip.

If you want a hard finish on them, get them power coated.

There have been tons of posts on how to paint, what paint to use, how to prep the items, etc..

if you jsut do it right it will look good for a while. get that aotomotive paint the other guy was talkgin about but also look for some primer and clear coat. put 1 or 2 coats of primer on then a few coats of the color then a few coats of the clear coat. at first all that will chip is the clear coat so it will stay looking good for a while. just to let you know, be patient. a lot of very thin coats is better than a few thick coats. just take your time and it will come out well. my friend and i painted our stock axles and a-arms and they stayed looking pretty good for a while.

If you want black, try that appliance epoxy stuff rustolieum came out with. It holds up great considering its paint.

Use PJ1. You can get it from most dealers/good shops. Be sure to buy the primer, base and clear coat. If you do it right it will last awhile.

just 1 lil tip about paint...dont try to put it all on at one time...put a coat on, let it tack, then put another coat on...take your time.....patience is key for a clean looking, non runny paint job...reguardless if its spray paint...or painted from a air gun!!

I'm a painter and I would find a chip resistant paint. Also, sometimes when you use different paints with clearcoat the paint will crack. Make sure you use the same brand. Basecoat and clearcoat should be the same brand. Differnet brands usde diff ingrediants. Read the labels some paints you have to wait a day to clearcoat them. Good luck if you havent done them already. If you were in my area I would do them for you cheap!!!

BTW - Krylon Fushion is for plastics not metals. And it will still scratch and chip, just not as bad as a regular paint.

Krylon is the manufacturer, Fushion is the kind of paint for plastics. And yes, they do make other types of paints.

I painted my frame with auto-motive paint, and holding up better then my powder coat on my other parts.
