Engine poping and stalling

At a race this past weekend my quad kept popping, it sounds like a sucking sound:confused: . A couple of times when after accelerating, the quad would die. I have a HRC kit and 195 jet with a pipe, I still have the stock airfilter b/c it always before ran good. Whats up with my fo fiddy

your main jet is way to rich, i would think a 175 would be fine, but go ahead and stick your 185 that came with the hrc kit in. if it is popping on deceleration, then your air/fuel screw is too lean. try screwing it all the way in, then out about 2.5 turns. if its still popping, go out 3 turns. if that doesnt fix it, you may beed to go a size bigger on the pilot jet.

Mine was acting up in Ocala last week, idled crazy and backfiring under decelleration. Come to find out the pilot jet had debris in it closing the hole down to something like a 35 pilot. Cleaned it and the bowl out runs perfect again.
