How loud is a sparks pipe?

I am getting a sparks X-5 or X-6 and I just wanted to know how loud they are. Right now I have no discs on my megamax, and it is pretty loud. I personally like loud things, so do you think the sparks pipe will be close to as loud as the fmf w/o the discs?

At idle it's not very loud, still sounds good. When you put the hammer down, then it gets loud. I love the sound of my X-6. Go ahead and get the X-6 pipe, because the more mods you do the engine the better it will work for you.

Look at the sparks pipes for the 300ex. There IS an x-5, they just dont make one for the 400. I need to get a price on the x-6, but mt local dealer can get me an x-5 for $319.

I have an X6, and they sound very good on a built 250x/300ex, but are a little loud. Our private practice tracks last summer could be heard a few miles away. If the noise is not an issue in your area, then get one, they are great pipes.

Sparks told me an x-5 would be best. But what do you think? My mods are in my sig. Noise is not an issue for me, I like loudness, and my 70 yr. old neighbor told me that he loves the noise my quad makes. He said I need to make my AC 300 loud like my ex, lol.

Your motor mods are very similar to what I raced last summer other than I had a 400ex carb. I run the Sparks X6 and loved it. I would say go ahead and get the X6 based on my experience, but it is hard to disagree with Sparks himself on his products. The X6 really woke up my motor.

I am going to be putting on a 400ex carb also. It will depend on the price difference between the two, because the X-5 is $319, and I don't have a price on the x-6 yet.
