handlebars worth it?

i'm interested in them for looks. i rarely get a chance to ride so i'm wondering what the benefits are. i dont race, i only do trails and sand pits. what are the benefits of some fatty bars:macho

you can choose a different bend, different color, strength- but then again your more likely to bend your steering stem in a rollover than your renthal handlebars.....
