Do people go to a 416 just for the higher compression and its the first bore over? Dont flame, what if you just went to a higher compression on the stock bore? Or is it just safer to bore it once over?

Actually 406 is the next size bore from stock. My 416 dosent even compare to stock, and it kills most 440`s Thats all I got to say about that,;)

I would go 426. When I had my pipe without the baffles in, I would bang though gears so fast. If I was on it I would be shifting every few seconds.. I put my baffles back in and Im much happier with the power. Without baffles I had a much higher power curve. With the baffles I have more low end power, its quieter and I dont have to shift so much. What it kinda boils down to is how fast you can move air though it. I would go 426 because you still have room to go and all you motor work will be more substancial.

the 416 is the faster rever of the 440 and the 426 im a most sure of it,and that will be even better with a rev limiter, lighten flywheel as well

If you want something to just rev fast go with a two stroke. I would personally rather have someting with a little torque. It all depends on you what you want. You can have any displacement rev differently. I like having more bottom end to pull the wheels up easier instead of just hitting the higher R's and spinning tires. Theres no replacement for dispacement.

i guess you got a point there to,but for MX you still have plenty of low end and more revs,so i guess it a win win situation?

GT Thunder for the Rev Limiter no doubt. Actually if you want a good 416 setup, call Laz. My good friend on here Ty's400 is getting a full GT Thunder 440 setup...
