what headers for a 400ex flows the best and would fit a hmf slip on

wouldn't it be better to just buy a full exhaust rather than a separate header and slip on? I mean there both meant to fit stock units, like an aftermarket header is meant for a stock sized silencer and vice versa. I've seen decent priced auctions for like a powerbomb header and WB slip on, but since they both taper where they connect isn't it just better to save for a complete system?

it would be a lot easier to just buy the whole thing...i had to buy seperate to get what i wanted for my 300 thou
