FCR on a 400ex Help

I bought a FCR carb off of eBay and am having installation problems. The carb is just too short to hookup to the airbox boot. Am I missing something? there is an inch and a half or more gap. Is there different air horns for the 400ex. The guy I bought it from indicated it came off of a 400ex but I'm not sure exactly what I have. Any thought will be appreciated,

Here is a pic of the air box air horn it's about 1 inch thick.

it's name is Velocity Stack. I think you are short. You also can go
on line and look to WWW.sudco.com and look at all the parts.

Nope that rear bell is not for a 400ex carb. We sell the parts that will make it fit for you.

if you dont want to buy a new part right now, you can move the air box forward until it fits. this is what i am currently doing with my fcr40mm carb. you won't be able to screw the back of the air box into the subframe but it is snug and won't go anywhere. you can zip tie it if you like back there.
