Is $6048 without taxes a good price for an 05 R? Thats what my local dealer said he could do for me.

Abernathy's is supposed to be $5499 OTD without taxes. I have no dealings with them though.

What can I say to my dealer to get them to come off the price? I will be getting a loan from somebody else so I will pay cash at the dealer.

Get the paper first, then go talk to the dealer's in your area on a price. They will come down on a price when they know you got a fat fold in your pocket.

You can alway give the bank the extra money you have left over. Or buy some parts.

yikes, well grandview or warrensburg, r the only 2 i kno of that have great deals, so i dunno what you should do, maybe tell them you can get it for $5850 from freedom cycle and see what he says, ask him to match the price or your leaving, then if he doesnt, tell him you can do $5950 at most, if he cant do that, then your gone, and if he doesnt, then leave

Damn, those are some really good prices. It all depends on where you live, 6100 OTD was the best price I could get anywhere in southern CA and that's without haggling. Just remember, if you have to have a green sticker for your state be careful buying out of state or it could hurt in the end.

go on the honda website and search for dealers in your area. it should give you like 10 or so, then call all of em. i live about 30-45 minutes from Abernathy's, and they seem to be a really good dealership.

It gave me a list of 10. I am going to call them all tomorrow. 7 of the 10 are out of state, but most are within an hour or two. When they ask what prices I have been getting I am going to give them Abernathy's price of $5500.

I gave one dealer that price today and he says "Well let me go see if I have any in stock for you and I will call you back." I wait 5-10 minutes and the owner of the dealership called back.

He went into his spill of "That price is $400 less than the invoice price of the bike. I dont know how they are selling them for that. As a matter of fact I think that is illegal." Then he went on to say "That may be the advertised price without setup fees and freight fees."

I called Abernathy's back in January and asked them about their prices. They guy said that those prices ARE their OTD prices. I asked again "There will be no fees or shipping attached to that price after I drive 6 hours?" He said no, but I would want a faxed price on paper showing cost of fees and shipping and it totaling up to $5500 before I drove up there.

This is some interesting info. Not sure how accurate it is though. Maybe somebody that is in the buisness can verify.
