Borich goes for the mud hole, he almost got stuck, but he got through-now he will truly battle for 1st.

Jenks chooses not to go through the mud hole and opted for the long way around.

Yokley is only 30 seoncds behind Jenks. Yokley chose to go around the hole.

Honda are cheapskates and do not think this type of investment would pay off, same for some of the other manufacturers. Go look at the Pro bike pit areas and you see where their $ is going.

Jeff Stoss is running the Best in the Desert series this year from what others say.

I think that honda pretty much is stickin with MX side of dirtbike racing. I think its dumb, BUT WHAT DO I KNOW!

HEy 47501 how'd it go for u in Ga. Our pits where doing pretty good Our morning Class Riders (300racer) finished 2nd in 16-21c, and 27th overall (ILGNCC400EX) S Senior was only able to complete one lap, But was happy with the course.
IN the After noon (the_eddy) had worked his way into 3rd/4th?? in the 2stroke class, and After that big bottleneck his motor overheated about 4 miles to the finish line!
Like i said, I came out 10th in 4stB. 4stB seems to be a pretty stiff class. I started to pump up on my first lap, so i started waving people around and just chilled at my own pase. But by the second lap i was feeling good and charging hard till the finish. And on my 3rd lap i was still in 18th lol!
The bottleneck is what really helpd me out, I went down a ways and found a desent little crossing, (which i think Brandon Ballance also took)

If you remember correctly Honda has lead the way in Contingency for ATV's.

And I dont think Borich is hurting judging by his new rig.

Your right, He has that new rig, and Doesnt he have somone pull all 4 of his quads to the track in another trailer??

Does anyone know who has the nice big Toter Home from Mo.?
Its all white, and it looks like they are pulling mabey a 16ft inclosed trailer behind it??

No but we have an all white Totor home pulling I think a 35ft camper. I also run 4stroke B with you. I didnt have a good race in GA. I finished 13th in TX and 11th in FL though...

Oh yea, that bottleneck at the bridge, I was stuck all the way to the left, but you cant blame me because there were 3 or 4 people stuck when I got there!!! High five to whoever knocked the bridge out in the first place!...NOT! hehe :D

Well........I ran real hard the entire race, no problems whatsoever. Barely any arm pump, no getting stuck or hitting anything. I never looked at the scoring thingy until the checkers and then came disappointment. I finished 14th in 29-34. I don't think it would matter what class I raced, I would still finish mid-pack! I usually do better in the muddier and more technical races, which this one was not. Hey maybe they should start a "D" class, maybe then I could win....Nah, I guess I will have to practice for once, the only time I ride lately is going to Tech inspection and to the starting line. You going to Steele Creek?

And I dont think Borich is hurting judging by his new rig.

From what I saw, Borich has all his ATV's in that big ***** trailer of his. Why would he have someone else lug his ATV's around when he has a huge trailer?

Also, I thought someone from our camp said that people from Honda were at the Florida race...maybe checking Borich out for some kind of sponsorship. May be bad information, but I thought it came from a reliable source.

Admin
03-14-2005, 06:46 PM
The Borich Family are hard workers and their rig and trailer didn't come from Chris rolling in the money from sponsors. They purchased it from being successful beyond racing and trust me it came with a payment book, but they want to look as profesional as possible at the track for their sponsors.

Donnie, did you notice when we looked at the final results at the track the one guy in your class was 2nd overall, but according to the GNCC website he was 19th overall, whats up with that? I think if a C class racer gets in the top 20 overall for the morning class, its time to move to the afternoon. Us "TRUE" C class racers don't stand a chance with the sandbaggers. Heck I'd be better off if they had a D class, of course, we'd have A and B racers to contend with in there, too.

that would be an excellent rule they have it for the afternoon.

unfortunately a lot of riders would rather ride in the am and watch the pm race that's probably one reason they're there.

maybe they should have vet, junior and senior A and B and put the B's in the AM. that would move some people and make it safer in the C classes.

I dont really think that is all that fare. My buddie ran 16-21c and finished 27th overall. He has only ran 4 gnccs, and the best he has ever finished untill Ga, Was 6th place at Rausch Creek last year. and this year he grabed a 2nd place at Ga. ANd he is running a stock everything besides rebuilt stock shocks.

People deserve there own time in each and every class they feel they want to run.
I have never finished better than 10th place in c-class last year, But i bumped myself up to b, Just to try to better my riding.

IN the morning all the classes should be about equal, with skill level. If a c rider pulls off a podium a time or two, that great. But if he/she should be up there every race, Then it would be time to move to the afternoon.

Im all about moving sport class in the am, and stock to the pm!
Sorry (big bad beny, and bradley, country park)

Sorry (big bad beny, and bradley, country park) [/B][/QUOTE]

Oh yea! Them stock guys are quite a bit faster than the sport guys... Plus, the track is too rough for the sport bikes suspension

I think that moving the sport class to am would help with creating more riders (only 2 at ga). If you think about it it is like taking your good ole family car out on a nascar track. The younger newer riders that have the 300 and warriors that have completed 1st year would be able to transition easier than having to jump into c class or going up with the speed demons of PM.

Then why you out trying to climb trees when you should be beatting warriors? lol

i raced the sport class on a bone stock 300ex for 2 years before i could afford suspension, and i was always up there at the end of the race, but i couldn't contend w/ the guys that had suspension. i do agree that stock should be moved to the pm, and the sport to the am but the roughness is a lousy excuse. does anyone know the rules about a b rider finishing in the top 30 overall????? brandon sommers is just plain amazing, i ran the first to laps w/ him and two other riders, but after two, i was getting abused by my rear suspensin. the boy has stamina!!!! i bet if he started up front, and didn't have all the vet and junior riders to pass, he would be in the top ten.......congrats brandon

I'm glad everyone else feels the same about the classes.I've been next to Brandon at the starts and he really gets siked up.You gotta want to win to win!If you look at the C class, the same guys keep winning with fastest lap times, it just really just pisses you off that they can get away with it untill next year. Why be stuck in a class that you can't come close to doing well.I think the GNCC should change their rules even if its just a C class.

I still cant see riding a sport bike in the pm race with it being as rough as it is. And yes, I agree more people would be racing. I think they might get discouraged thinking they have to race at the same time as the Pros...

Oh yea, I race in Brandon's class....he's fast...:macho

Even B-Rad from the Wood knows better than to mess with Big Daddy Dan. lol j/k B-Rad

If Lil runs first year I think she will do good. After her first year her options would be 1) go to women's class, 2) C class or 3) run sport class and beat up on Bradley. Being a concerned parent I would hesitate in letting her run sport class due to her running a 300 ex and her lack of experience. I am sure that there are other parents with the same concern out there too.

the sport class is still where she would be most competitve, as well as the safest class as it sits now.
first year-too many crazies
c class-too many crazies and flat just a hell of alot of people
womens class- you wanna put her in an A class for her first year of gncc?
sport class- starts in the back, never more than 15 people and there mostly her experience level and on quads than are closer competition for a 300ex

I agree with bradley, LiL Braff would be most competive in the sport class. However the c-classes arnt that bad anymore. Mabey 3?-40 sum riders in a class, Thats not to bad. Didnt they say that hey like 80riders in c-16-24 at Lorreta Lynns last year.

There really isnt anything that needs to be changed, Because the classes work out pretty well now, But i feel like alot of others that if the Sport class was in the AM, THe turn out might be better. Or u might start to get more First Year Racers/C riders involved.

How many sport boys are going to STEELE CREEK? BRAD? COUNTRY PARK? BIG BAD BENY?? Who is the guy on the War PIG?

These guys mustn't have ever riden a race quad....eh Brad?

I agree with Brad on Lil-Braff running in the SPORT class. Like he said, We start on the last row with typically about 12 racers. I have seen 18 once. The last row means you run pretty much only with other sport class racers until the 2nd or 3rd lap, then the pros might start passing you, it is very easy to let a pro or A racer go by. I consider it one of the safest classes to run. How many starting turn crashes have you seen from the sport class, I can't remember any last season, at least no quad flipping types like you see in the am classes.

I bet Jeremy and Dustin were as fast as most of the stock guys last season.

I'll be at the rest of the GNCC's

Not sure where you got the idea that someone implied that sponsors paid for Borich's rig, but I didn't mean that from my last post. I was just wondering why someone would think that Borich would have someone else lugging his quads around when he has that nice trailer. Also, when I heard that sponsors from Honda may be looking at Chris, that was for the future. It would be nice to see Honda pickup Chris as a factory rider because he has done well since switching to the 450R.

I seriously thought that Borich had his quads in another trailer for the Fl. and Ga. GNCCs?? ANd behind his totor home he also had another trailer?? Anyone have an awnser for this,

I just remember seeing quads stored on the upper deck of the trailer. When we walked by the pro pits before the race in Georgia, you could see his extra quads on the lift that was raised up. You could be right though, just seems like he could fit all the quads and custom bikes that he wants in that trailer.
