What are the best shocks...if all shocks were the same price!

my "friend" seems to think that my Elkas are junk! so I just want to see how they stack up to the competition.:D

if they wre all the same i woudl def be buying elka elites. they have a lot of adjuistments to get your ride just right for what you ride and what you ride in so elkas would be my choice

How many of you have actually ridden on all of them? You can't really say which is the best until you have right?

I've run PEP, TCS, AXIS, and ELKA and by far AXIS is top imho then ELKA, then TCS, then PEP

i dont c PEP being below tcs, and this also depends on what type of racing, such as axis/elka dominate the crosscountry scene while pep/axis/elka are all 3 in mx, tcs isnt the top notch over pep, and im not sure people would prefer tcs over 1 of the other brands listed

ya man i agree, when it comes to shocks, its all about personall preferance and what works for you, the top 3 r definantly elka, pep, and axis (not in that order) but they are all so similar that the average rider wouldnt even be able to tell the difference, even with the TCS you wont go wrong if you wanna save some money, its all about what you like, if your gncc/crosscountry you would want to look at elka/axis if you are mx you would want to look at elka/axis/pep if you are a recreational rider and ride for fun then you would want to look at works/tcs models so you can get a decent shock and save the major bucks, that pretty much sums it up but if you want PEP, you better be ready to wait, elka is the fastest, and axis isnt too far behind, but pep has a long wait, good luck to you with your shock decision :macho
