Getting some goodies! (w/pics)

I figured it was about time to do something to the 400ex. So I bought a DG Krome RCM slip on for starters.

Im definitely happy with the pipe. I bought it realizing that its def. NOT the best thing out there, but I pay for everything myself, so I cant always have the best. thats ok though. List was 175 and I got it for 148 and change because I know a guy at the place where I got it and got a discount.

There's really only a modest power gain of course, but it sounds a hell of a lot better and pulls better, more in the low-mid range it seems. A nice feature about the pipe is that is is nickel-plated with a chrome finish. A bad feature, I guess is theres no spark arrestor. but i ride on private land anyway so Im not too concerned.

Reason I said "goodies" in thread topic was becuase Im waiting on some 20x11x9 Maxxis Razr's. They should be here by Wed or so. I paid $110 (including shipping).
THe tires themselves were 41 bucks each, which is a helluva deal. $30 in shipping aint:( (From Rocky Mnt.)

Anyways, do you all think I got a good price on them? How bout the pipe? $148

I can tell you need new tires by the tire slime on your heel guards. The pipe looks cool though.

Ha ha yeah I know.... looks like chit. the bike and the garage are so crappy looking right now. its just 2 damn cold out! never get past 30 hardly ever. I have a little tiny kerosene heater that smokes bad and does little exept warm ur hands up.

those tires are stockers and the bikes an 01. the hole is about 3/8 in diameter in the sidewall:eek2: yeah so that chit just blew right out!(previous owner put slime in) right now I gotta plug in it and its held for 3 days so far with quite a bit of riding. they only have to last till wednesday anyway, but it would be nice to wear them stockers right down.

About the slime, apparently it held for a little while, becuase the previous owner said it worked for a couple months. I find that hard to believe since the hole is so big. Also, its on the inside. How do you get such a big punture hole on the INSIDE sidewall??? I know its possible of course, but still.....
I bought a car patch kit and it has these little pieces of rubber that, when coated with rubber cement, acutally "melt" and bond nicely wiht the tires. (the coating on the rubber melts) I stuck about four or so of them in there and it works well it seems. Right now, there is no slime in the tire, except what was in there before of course.

i used fixaflat on my friends 300ex. he had a nail stuck in the tire and it leaked badly. infact his bike pump wouldnt pump it. threw some in and it lasted all day long.

one problem, most of these liquid patches are flammable/explosive(i forget which)

the slime is the safest one i believe

Lol, sry about that, I guess they are a little bit 2 small. I figured you could still pull it off, but after looking at the pics again, I guess not.
