I thought about it too, the 250r tank probably wouldn't get you far with a thirsty 450 motor, it might look cool though. :p

450Rs arent twice as bad as YFZs, in my experience, as far as gas mileage goes. and I think 250R tank is about the same size as the 450R anyhow.

But anyhow, I have two cannondales and I own and swear by the walsh 250R conversion. The #1 best mod you can make to a Cannondale. Maybe because I started on a 250R.

But the seat height, ergonomics, and overall feel, & look cannot be compared.

A new sub frame and fuel tank are a definite must.

Which would put this job at an automatic $700.00 + Range, Not including plastic & seat.

that's some good info i can build the subframe no biggy. the big deal i think is going to be the tank. the motor is so tall the bottom of the tank was hittin. but we never got into it much. just played around with the idea so far.

here is my buddys Z with my 440ex fenders on them. He is looking to get new ones and is willing to sell them if anyone is interested, includes custom battery box, fenders and 400ex seat. but im sure it wouldnt be THAT hard to put 250r fenders on.
