i heard with a 13:1 piston you can run a 50/50 mix of 94 octane pump gas and race gas. any truth to this.

ya its true, depending on the octane race gas you use, but me personally, if your gonna have your bike run race gas even if its 50/50...might as well go full race gas and get the 13.8:1

you might get away with 50/50 but i wouldnt even run 50/50 in 12:1 the 13 needs straight.

for a 13:1 i would reccomend either a slight mix say 80/20 of race gas to 94 octane. you don't need complete race gas for this compression but for anything above this I would strongly reccomend it. For all the engines I have built if my customer ever wants say a 13.5:1 or 14:1 piston I tell them 110 octane only. I also tell them that if they decide to cheap out on it that I am not held responsible because w/ 110 octane it keeps alot of the detonation at bay.

I run full 110 with my 13:1 - too risky to blend it down for me.

I have 12.5:1 compression and I run strait 110 octane VP race fuel.
