Do i need OUTERWEARS with my stock filter???

went to the dunes a few times and now took off the airbox lid and there was sand all over in it and on the filter. the stock filter is foam and shouldnt let any dirt or sand in should it??.

should i run a outerwear on it or is that just for the K&N filter since they are different.

would it be better to run a K&N with outerwear or say a UNI foam filter.

i would run the k&n filter and the outerwear on it and maybe remove the lid and REJET:blah

get a k&n filter and a outerwear for it, go ahead and get a spare outerwear while your ordering, sometimes the edges tear from rubbing. i ordered mine from Rockymountainatv.com ; need to keep the sand OFF the filter !!!!
