Alright, so some buddys and I want to take a snowmobile trip here in a few weeks, and I asked a friends dad if we could use his f-250 powerstroke. My question is, can he call his insurance company and add me to his policy for a day, or do they not allow this?? Its only a day trip to the mountains and back, so nothing crazy, but has anyone ever done this???

im not 100% sure but about 99% sure they wont allow you to be on the policy. Do you have insurance on a vehicle right now? if not your out of luck

I think you can only be added to someones policy if they are your parent.

Ever policy is going to be different. Each state has different requirements. For example may truck covers anyone who doesnt live with me. My old policy wouldnt cover anyone under 25 so he would have to read his policy. As far as adding someone for a day ive never seen that happen in my 9 years in the legal field.

Mine is like that also .... but I think the driver has to be licensed for atleast 3 years or something like that .
