I am getting a new pipe. I liked the FMF on the stock motor, but I was about the only one who does like them. I am going to get a Curtis Sparks pipe. I was thinking the X-6 because my motor is bored and all that wonderful stuff, but what do you guys think?

The X-6 was built for modded motors. You say you have your quad bored, get the x-6. The x-4 is a great pipe for a stock motor, but when you start to build the bike, the top end power will become flat with the x-4 pipe. The x-6 will emphasize the mid range hit with plenty of pep from bottom to top.

Really?, I have never heard of anyone running the X-5. Most everyone I talk to say that they run the X-4 or X-6.

He is joking. There is no such thing. Get the X-6. You won't be disappointed.

He's not joking, there is such a thing as an X-5. It's just that noone runs them.

Who makes the X-5? I think Sparks would advertise it on their site if they made it.

lol a X-5 pipe. hrm gona have to try that one. I think he is tryin to say sparks is like ESR and has 10 different pipes. No sparks only makes 2 pipes. X-4 and X-6. Stock or Modded basically.

i just looked and they only offer the x-4 and x-6 for the 400ex.

i know they did make an x-5. i believe it was for a 300ex. for a 400ex, there is no x-5. it wouldn't hurt to call them up and ask which pipe suites your application best.

I called them and they said that I won't reap the full benifits of the X-6, and that an X-5 would be the best for my setup. Plus the x-5 is cheaper.
