Well it seems that a lot of members are asking how to post pics, i see it all the time. So i thought i would make a how-to on posting pics for every one.

the first method of hosting a picture from AtvRiders.com

scroll down a little bit, right after the message box. you will see this...

http://img160.exs.cx/img160/1134/18wm2.jpg (http://www.imageshack.us)

hit the browse button and simply select the picture you want. once you did that, there should be words inside of the browse box. if you did this, hit the reply button and the picture should be there. you can only post one picture per reply with this method but it is easy for just posting a single picture.

The second method of posting pictures threw an outside website other than atvriders . this works well for posting more than one picture in a reply to a thread, but you have to go to a website to host them. some examples are - www.imageshack.us www.photobucket.com www.imagestation.com i will be showing you how to use www.imageshack.us I find it the easiest one to use.

first go to www.imageshack.us you should see this screen

http://img160.exs.cx/img160/1706/27kd.jpg (http://www.imageshack.us)

once you are there, hit the browse button

http://img160.exs.cx/img160/867/39mz.jpg (http://www.imageshack.us)

select your picture and hit "host it"

http://img160.exs.cx/img160/3673/44pq.jpg (http://www.imageshack.us)

once you have gotten this far, you are nearly done. after you hit host it you will see this screen.

http://img160.exs.cx/img160/7217/50uh.jpg (http://www.imageshack.us)

once you are there scroll down a little bit until you see this

http://img160.exs.cx/img160/5152/66yg.jpg (http://www.imageshack.us)

when you see this, highlight everything in that box, and paste it in a reply. you can host more than one picture doing it this way in a reply. that should be all you need to learn how to post pics. if i was unclear any where im sure i can explain it for you. mods, you could mabey sticky this for future reference.

You can use the imageshack "show image to friends" URL and just put it in the IMG box when it comes up to have it included in the thread also. No text and clean.

I never thought it was hard to post a pic to begin with.
Its not obvious to everyone else:confused:

Ive only been posting here for a short while, yet it took no brains at all to post a pic.

very good thread btw, people ARE always asking how to do it.

the sad thing is that there have been over 30 of these how to threads. unless they are at the very top of everysection the people who need it wont find it. Some people dont take the time to look around for info, they simply dont have the patience so putting it in the faq would be as good as deleting it...

Put your pic on Paint. Click on sketch/skew and then make your percentage smaller. I usually type in 50% first then make it 75. That works fine. (of course it'll depend on the size of you pic)
There may be a better/easier way to do it, but thats the way I do it.

i just like it 79f150 and wanted to post a pic

03-06-2006, 04:23 PM
when ur browsing, right click the pic. you want and go to edit. it will open up microsoft office picture manager.

then on the side just go to the picture tab on the top, then go to resize picture.

resize the pic. to web large or crop it a little and go to document small.

its definetly the easiest way to make a pic. smaller without typing all the numbers...
i can screen shot how to do everything if u want
