what do you think is faster? My friend has a worked blaster coming to him tomorrow and he thinks its faster than my stock 400ex

that would really depend on alot of things, when you say worked what do you mean like big bore kit or just bored with a pipe.

whoa... i made a thread very similar to this a few weeks ago. Except, my friends blaster, well, his girlfriends, was bone stock, and he said that it could beat my 400ex with my mods on it. speaking of course that he would put a full system pipe on it. In answering your question, the 400 would smoke that little blaster.

but the only real way to know is to go out and do it.

when my 400ex was stock except a 14tooth front sprocket I raced my friends 03 blaster with a full exhaust.I let him get a head start,and passed him in 4th when he was topped out.(he admitted it to me after)This was on a straight drag,on pavement.He told me before the race he was gonna beat me:o

his quad is gonna be at my house tomorrow it has a full exhaust vforce reeds k&n filter and jet kit and a couple more mods hes gonna get blown out

Blasters are junk, I wouldn't worry about it unless he has a big bore and then it may be close, no way he'd beat you

yea...go tell that to those littles ****s over at blasterhq. I used to have a built blaster, and it didnt even compare to my 400ex when it was stock

my bestfriend has a worked blaster
bored a 100 over (225cc)
wiseco piston
porting
fmf exhaust
clampon K&N

he keeps up with me till 2nd then i'm gone

if his is more worked than that thing you still dont have anything to worry about

since you posted this, the blaster will win.. by about 20 quad lengths.

Take an experienced rider on a blaster against a rec./play rider on a 400ex to a MX track and see who does better:o

It's at least 90% rider, i'm the one on the 400 and the young guy is on the Blaster, he could ride that thing like a jet. I'm not a racer in the least, just not my thing.

Same day, same track he was on a YFZ and I was able to keep up with him. He was still ahead but was able to keep up:p

I wouldn't say Blaster, or any quad for that matter, is junk. It all depends on what the rider is comfortable with.;)

The rider makes the racer not the quad:)

he just started riding i just wanted to prove to him that you guys said a 400ex would blow a lil blaster away
