What front sprocket are you running?

What front sprocket is everyone running on the dunes on their 400ex? I'm wondering if dropping a tooth would be beneficial to me. I am running a 15 right now.

i seriously wouldnt recomend dropping sprockets i have a 440ex and always run a 15 at sahara but i have a 14 for motocross. i accidently left it on one trip and was pretty pist off about that i lost a ton of top end. also you will just put more power to the ground on ur launch and spin the tires deppending on what paddles you are running.

Yeah, that's what I was afraid of. I'm running 22x10x11 ITP Sand Stars and am pretty happy with the performance, just seems like I am spending a lot of time shifting on the trails. Seems like I am always right in between 1st and 2nd in the "twisties"

I do like the 15 for dune climbing and dragging on the flats.

i think it will do alright with 22s on back. i havent ridin the dunes with the cam and piston but it spins like made in the dirt, im going back to a 15 before i go to the dunes next wednesday

bad habit runs a 16t on his 416ex. better for drags and still has more than enough low end.

i run a 14 and seem to like it. I tried a 13,14,15 but quad was not timed right. I might go to a smaller rear but I will try them all again next time. 20x10x10 8 paddle extremes is what i run.

well if you are running a lot of trails in waynoka then you would want to be in 3rd gear on a 400ex i didnt realize you had 22 inch tires i would say to get a 14 tooth and run that in the trails for sure
