What were the rates? There usually outrageous for the quality room you get. We usually drive back up the road about 20 min. and save $50-$100. Oh and there are actually places to eat there too.

It wasn't too bad. $70 a night.

With a wife who hates to get up early, a three year old. And Me taking pictures and doing intervies I need something close. We will blast in about 11pm Fri night. So the closer we are in the morning, the better off we are.

if you guys dont mind driving 30 miles to spend the night, there is gonna be a lot more rooms in Dickson, TN. They'll be a lot cheaper too.

I found they were only about $15 - $20 cheaper. And given my situation I wanted to be closer to the track. So it was worth the extra. But you are right about the rooms being available.

For me, the 30 miles at the crack of dawn is like 300 with a three year old short on sleep! :mad:
