I have a 500 Sportsman HO and for some reason it just wont start. I have had sport quads for a while now and this is my wifes bike but with out touching the throttle, when I turn it over I smelt gas real bad so I took the air filter off and tried it to no avail. So stupid me choked it just to see what it would do and gas came pouring out of filter assembley into the air box. I took the plug out and it was fouled bad. I installed a new plug and let it sit awhile and tried again, no luck and still a strong odor of fuel. The plug is firing but it still wont start. Any help would be much appreciated.

the name on the side of the quad is the first problem. Ha, Ha. Try checking your float assembly, it sounds like the float is stuck or the needle valve is not seating properly. Good Luck!!!!!
