I just wanted to see how many of you have them, and if you think that it is a god upgrade with K&N\Slip-on? What brand do you have and do you like it. Or do you wish you would have got something different?
I have not done anything with the gears but I have plans for the 416 upgrade. Will I get the same reliability out of it with the 416?
Thanks in advance

i recently put on the HOTSHOTS rev box. it is the 10000rpm. i really enjoy it and it helps a lot!!!!! i have a 440 and it gives it alot more snap and streches out my gears for more top end.

Go with a TC racing, It has no rev. limit and still starts easy. its a little more $$ but its worth it.

yea the tc might not have a rev limit but then if you aint careful you will blow your motor or get it overheated!!!! at least the hotshot has about the highest rev without hurting your engine!!!

yea i would think twice about that, although a expierenced rider shouldnt have a problem,a beginnger will blow a engine with this

Also i hear magnum is real good, just stay away from white brothers :o

vortex makes a nice box and MSD's box is superb. I did some testing on a stock and modded 400ex w/ their kit for it and holy snaps it was nice. the power band became so nice and friendly and prevented alot of wheel spin.

I am running a Dyna Tech programmable ign. and I love it. It's nice to be able to set it at different curves for different types of riding and change the powerband. Plus you can get the program and set your own curves, rev limit etc.

Wow I was hoping to see a trend.
The 400EX I have is for my two kids. Age 16 boy and age 14 girl. I would like some thing that will work best for them. Easy start and would like it to be plug and play if you know what I mean?

Thanks walt miller I looked at the link that you posted and think I am going to get that one. I posted the part on a different site and everyone thinks it will be a good one.
See you all in the dunes.

I added the link if any of you would like it.

why is the White Bros so bad? I almost bought one till I read this post.. just curious what the real deal is with them besides cold starts?

the WB's boxes are hard to start. i actaully couldn't get my bike started sometimes when it was 45-50 degrees. it was a pain in the butt. then you need to swap your stock box on to get it started and when it is like 20 out your hands are numb. just pay a few extra dollars and get a good one.

go to www.gt thunder.com

i am not sure he shows rev boxes on his site for a 400ex but you can get the number from him and call and order one. he has two boxes, a mild curve and an aggressive curve.
