Does anyone have any suggestions on where to start with the jetting on a stock carb.
Heres my info...

Elevation: 1100ft above sea level
location: Stilwell Ks
Temp: 40-70 this time of the year/a little humid in the summer

Slow jet (pilot)???
Needle jet ???

with the air box lid on i would try:

158 keihin mainjet
move needle clip down one position to 4th spot
42 pilot jet
2.75-3 turns out from lightly seated on the fuel screw

If the pilot needed to be almost 3 turns out than would'nt you just go to the next size pilot?:chinese:

you could go up to a 45 pilot jet. i have ran both the 42 and 45 with great success.
