How much is this engine worth?

I got a Ford Flathead V8 in a trctor we got out in our woods.... how much do u think it would be worth if i pulled it out of the tractor and sold it? after i rebuilt it and repainted her...... or not rebuilt. Would it worth it? or a waste of time and money?

really depends on the buyer. i've seen flathead v8's go for $3K around here. but these are those 'flatheads forever' guys who find out that that is exactly what they need and absolutly have to have it.

just for the coolness factor and having to go through hell to find parts and probably have to make my own gaskets i would pay maybe $250. just as a side project. dont want it though, i have enough :rolleyes: :D

These guys who logged off our woods used the tracotr as a skidder..... and after they were done just left it there 5 years ago.... and so there it sits in the weeds. I figured i would pull it out... repaint it ford blue, and probly do a hone job and rebuild it.

wanna do me a favor and see if any of those guys want one? I can pull it out and make it look all pretty for em. the belt on it is shot, but we spun the alternater and it spins freely.
