I have played the demo and the feel of going over the whoops is amazing. The use of clutch is utilized so much in this game, it decides if you win or lose. Its a great realistic game, but it is hard enough that you will need to play this a lot to do well.

I called EB games today, and they told me they would have it in for me on the 15th. I cant wait to play the whole game, especially as my favorite rider, dunk.

the demo is pretty awsome the store makes you play it on like a 4 inch screen so it was a litte crappy but if you got it on a 19inch or whatver you guys have its gonna be SICK..

No, the clutch is for getting the holeshot and turns and stuff like that, you cannot shift. I also called EB games today, and they told me the 15th. I was hoping to have it for my birthday tomorrow.

The graphics look about the same to me, maybe a little better. Check out the posts where u can watch some videos of it. They made the game a lot harder i noticed. Intead of just bouncing when you case the jumps, you actually go over the bars.

I love that walsh bike, along with the black and blue alpinestar gear. Just go to the first freestyle place and do double backflips with supermans or something like that. I got like 100,000 points just in the 5 minute competition.

I've never tried ps2 online. I know on Xbox you have to subscribe to play online or use xbconnect. So I'd guess you have to subscribe to Playstation.

Personally I am dissapointed in this game. They need to have real quads in the game, with real Factory Names as well as aftermarkter parts with realistic Upgrades. I guess our sport is not popular enough? I have played em all. ATV Quad Power Racing 2, Fury, fury 2, fury 3, MX Unleashed, MTX Mototrax and unfortunately this game besides having quads and bikes together really doesn't go anywhere forward compared to the rest. I'm not saying the game sucks, but I don't know why I was excited when I should have realized it wouldnt be much different than MX Unleashed except that it has quads. I guess I could still look forward to getting the Xbox version to see what 1080i looks like on the TV.

I think it beats Fury 3 without comparison. It's basically like MX Unleashed with Quads. Even though I love quads, it's not a big enough difference to make me love the game, but overall I'm sure most Quad Riders will enjoy it.

4th It seems to take forever to get everyone synchronized to start a race.

They manual that came with the game tells nothing about the online play.

I would say the online problems are the reason they kept pushing the release date back, but I guess they should have pushed it back a few more weeks.

The game play OFFline is great, but ORF2 online setup was better that this.

I never really had a good time online with my PS2. Come to think of it, I should sell my Broadband Adapter. I used it for Fury twice and that was it. Live is a much more stable online system, but it even has it's negatives.

the biggest letdown for me is that you cannot use the keyboard to type so you pretty much cant talk........and i thought you were going to be able to do live chat in the race and stuff with the headset....it even says that on the back of the game but that doesnt work either

and everyone online uses dirtbikes so i can never race with fourweelers

They weren't able to license every company for various reasons.

Honda and Kawasaki wouldn't let them license anything, because they wanted loyalties. Suzuki wouldn't let them license a quad because they were afraid people would be trying double backflips on it (Ironic..seeing as how they sponsor - or used to sponsor - one of the craziest freestylers to ever ride).

As for those who are dissapointed....I have no idea why. I love everything about the game offline...minus one song on the soundtrack. The online play is a different story. I'm very dissapointed with the setup and the lack of information...along with the lack of headset support. I would have gladly waited another month or two if need be to get that fixed.

Does anyone else play this on thier hdd for the ps2? I did it and it speeds up the load times quite a bit. On the downside of that, the game will freeze every time I complete a championship if I'm using the hdd.

Now, thanks to that, I'm afraid I missed a few things. I have won every playable championship/freestyle/hill climb, etc. Everything else is still locked. That would be the supermoto, almost all hill climbs, short tracks and a few freestyle events.

I unlocked all ATVs, but only 2 dirbikes??? The only thing I haven't completed that's playable is the helicopter and airplane challenges (very difficult).

Does anyone know the secret to unlocking the other events (besides buying them)? I have over 3 millioin credits because I don't want to buy anything.

I think you just have to buy it. Once you run out just do freestyle mode. You unlock tons of points through that/

I have seen a couple people on here say you can use DSL to play online. I know the box says broadband required, does DSL work?

DSL is considered broadband and uses a Cat5 Cable just like Cable Internet which is also broadband. If you have DSL and a broadband adapter, you should be ready to rock n roll.

When you're racing for a championship, you always race against what you're riding. I don't think you can change that.

The single player events are the onlly ones where you can race against any vehicles.

Yamaha has the only lisenced quads in the game, but the others (Z400/TRX450R) are in the game. They are just labeled as a team quad instead.

All of the quads look authentic. Not like ORF3 where they look crappy. You can tell which ones are a YFZ, TRX, and a Z400 very easily.

dude wtf, everytime i do 360's my guy tries to keep on spinnin and he wont stop spinnin.....he tries to do like double and triple 360s. I know that u can push the analog stick in directions to slow the spin or speed it up etc. but he still rotates too far most of the time and wrecks or just lands on his back tires with his front tires up in the air and falls off

If its for xbox you need to hold the right trigger all the way through the jump.

I must say the Xbox version is much better. Ability to listen to you own music is a huge benefit. Also 1080i resolution looks very nice and clean. PS2 has a better controller though. Only one factory Quad really sucks.

errf,,, seems every year theyre is always some problem,,, Fury 2 wasnt too bad,, needed more quads tho Stockers on a game and aftermarket upgrades for them will be the ultimate game,, similar to NFS underground 2, Fury 3 just sucks,,, gameplay is ok but no good quads,,, they need to get permission to use them in the games,, honda needs to get in them with a 450r stocker and 400ex it would be nice to have YFZ, Banshee, Warrior, Blaster 450R, 400ex, 300ex kfx/z 400s, DS650, Predator, 250r, and maybe even some mud drag with utilities on the game,,, the day a game comes out like that, i will be one happy guy.:D

They said another reason to not have all the stock quads is because how many people would use the blaster if they made it realistic, compared to a race prepped yfz? Thats why they made all the quads the same speed, or close. Then its all down to the person playing the game, not the quad.

kinda like in fury 2 i always used the trinity banshee instead of the b6000 and still won most.... but i know that if they were all stock bikes i would never pick a blaster over a 450

i think that they can fix the online problems but you just gotta dl and save somthing to the memory card. But im not 100% sure they can do that

one thing i noticed is it lags a lil to like i can land on top of someone and they wont wreck but actually most of the time i wreck

yah ive landed a double 360 backflip on a quad and a dirtbike. and ive landed double backflip tsunamis and indian airs lmao. This game is so badass, i just bought a monster truck and u can ride wheelies in the frickin thing lmao, its awesome, plus u can ride wheelies forever on the little 50's

Since reading the directions and checking out in game tutorials is not a cool thing for most people I still highly recommend it. The in game video training will teach you how to do backflips as well as 360's. 360's are very important if you want to get major points. It amazed me how people come on here to ask questions on how to do backflips when the game itself has the answers for them.

right trigger+up then down real quick...if you hold it down u go faster..hold it too long u do more than one flip. its fun to pull them off right at the end of a race, over the finish line jump

Game is quite buggy on the xbox. Twice in freestyle mode I landed early on a pile of dirt missing the landing side of the pile and the game locked up. All I had to do was hit start and then select restart Then about 1/2 hour later it locked up at the end of the competition. I lost about 2 hours of gaming since it didn't autosave. Not sure I'll touch the game again. So annoying! Lost 9 golds in Freestyle because of this.

mine has done it once...I save after every race when it asks me too. Only takes one second

I cant figure it out. By far, i like MX unleashed way better. the national tracks were way sicker, the suspension was better, you didnt have to hold R to do flips, and the graphics were so sweet. I agree with you man, the game seems rushed. For some reason I am getting into the free roam area when I quit like a quickrace/hillclimb, but then I win golds in all 10 hillclimbs of the 1st hillclimb comp. and it doesn't unlock anything. Seems pretty confusing to me.

I just got this the other day, somewhat disappointed for the reasons others pointed out. I was playin freestyle with my friend and his quad went in the stands and wouldnt reset. His body was just layin on the ground and I was pushin him all over the course with my quad, lol.

Also the plane challenge is hard as hell! If I wanted to fly a plane I woulda bought a flight sim!

each time i get 1st in a hillclimb along with the fastest time i always get something. usually its some gear but i've unlocked some atv's and 125 dirtbikes as well. after you unlock it on the hillclimb just go to profile and save it :macho i like the game tons to do and your not gonna beat it all in one setting, for 40 bux it was w ell worth it to me!

You are correct! I unlock gear and Quads as well, but how do you unlock the second area of hillclimbs? I got 10 golds on the first 10 hills, but the second area didn't unlock. The game is not user friendly at all, that's for sure. MX Underground had a very good interface.
