im wanting to install a 416 kit, alot are using the xr cam from Terry, seems to be a good cam for only $120. what about the Tc mx cam for $205, is the $85 worth the differance in performance? im also using a JE piston. im not racing, just playing, money is no problem. i just want the most from a drop in cam. xr or mx? thanks

If you want the most from a cam, then deffinetly get the tc mx cam. By far a more aggressive cam

I would save the extra money and get the more aggr. cam since you have it open or you will be in the delimea that i am right now and that is not likeing the xr cam and having to go out and buy another. I would look into the Hot Cams stage 2 cam, you can get it from C&D Racing for $130-140 and there is no core charge, it is also a drop in cam. This is the cam I am waiting on.

As for a Drop-In Cam the XR cannot Compare to a TC. The only Cams that I think are as Good if not better are the Sparks or GT Thunder. I would Save for the TC.

So, do these cams perform about the same ( TC mx & Hot Cam stg 2) ? $205 vs $130-140. If they do, i might as well buy the cheaper one. which one guys would ya buy ????

Best place is to get it directly from TC racing or Rocky Ridge Racing,,and yes most definitly put a higher compression piston in there too dude. Call marcums on the piston and make sure ta tell him or Tammy your an exriders member,,trust me you wanna do the piston too.

Well maybe I will ask Tom the Spec`s on his Cams this Weekend at Red Bud if he has the Time. If not I will just Call him. I want to see how they Compare. Also we need to get Sparks Spec`s.
