I sent my crank out to powroll to be stroked, it's been there a month and a half now.

They call today and say "hey, by the way you need a new crank pin and bearing, but you can't get on without a new crank. Unless I want to use a wiseco one which is smaller and will not hold up to high rpm."

Yeah, just what I want..........a high priced grenade that if I run hard will blow up.

the cheapest I found for the stock crank was around $275, then add in the $600 for the stroke job. wow this sure is getting expensive and I've barely started on the engine, still need top half!:huh

can any help with any ideas?

Strokers aren't really meant for high rpm though. So does it really make that much difference to you? Best bet is try the wanted section, ebay, servicehonda.com. Good luck.

ithink powroll is trying to pimp you pimp..lol with the stroked crank, your gonna have a more severe rod angle and you shouldnt be turning ultra high rpm anyhow.go with the wiseco;)

This is only my opinion. I build my motors once, what I mean by this if it needs it, it gets it! If I was you I would bite the bullet and buy the best, what ever it may be.

Look at it this away, if your buy inferior parts or cut corners, there is a chance you will be doing it all over again half way throught the season. You might give a few other engine builders a call and see what they think is the best deal. I have never dealt with powroll, but many do on a consistant basis, so they have to be somewhat honest.

i got the 2005 dennis kirk and saw that hot rods are selling complete 460cc stroker crank and piston kits for the 400ex. you buy the crank already stroked, so there is no core or work done on your original.
