I have an '04 450r with an HRC kit as my only performance upgrade. I mostly do straight dune riding since Silver Lake Michigan is directional, and do some sand drag racing and water crossing.
I want to go with a set of ITP C-series rims. and was thinking of a set of sand devils for the rear. i read the the straight paddle is better for straight dune riding, but what do you guys recomend for rim size? tire size? number of paddles? and smooth fronts or with the fin? thanks in advance for the info

Get single ribs for the front(go 7"wide), haulers for the rear(get 8 paddle) on 10,s

And you look something like thishttp://webpages.charter.net/white7/sand.jpg

I prefer 8 inch rims in rear. If you run short distance, get 8-paddle 12X21X8 haulers. For long distance or hill climbs, get 6-paddle tripple-buffed ultra-light haulers. 22X12X8 on 7 inch wide rims. These things rip on top end.
