more swingarm questions

hey i was wondering if anybody has ever tried to strenghten their stock swingarms. after seeing all of these pics of cracked swingarms its got me kinda worried about mine. and we all know new ones are $$$$. so i was thinking about having like maybe 1/4'' alum. welded all the way down on both sides. what do you guys think? the only problem now is somewhere else is the weakest point on it. so where else does it need some extra material. thanks for your time.

If your not an extreme racer or jumper then don't worry about it,,I've abused mine and it's held up for almost 2 years,,but I got a bad gut feelin she's gonna go this race season..:(

It wont bend it will break,,, its aluminum.

If you go welding on an alum. swingarm it will most likley make it weaker.

im not an extreme racer or jumper but i kinda like the insurance. im right at 200 pounds and ive bent the stock a arm and ive blowed out a front shock off jumps.i guess it would weaken it cause it is cast, correct? i wonder if i could talk my dad into making me a complete new one. that would be nice.
