Just wanting some opinions on the DRD slip on??? and what jetting everyone is running with or without airbox lid. Is the pro design intake worth the moneY?

i've got the DrD and i LOVE it. i rode a few with hmf slip-ons and mine sounds a lot better and feels like it has more low end. i have the cam mod and air box lid off, and my jetting is:
178 main, 48 pilot, 5th pos. on stock needle, and like 2-2.5 turns out on the fuel screw, and it runs great. i haven't done any plug tests yet, but i think thats pretty close. my elevation is about 1000, and about 40-60 degrees. look up rs performance on yfzcentral.com. i got mine from him for $220

I have one on mine and I like it better then the HMF thats on the other one in my garage. Its not to loud and makes GREAT power. And I would also recomend the Pro flow Kit.

dang, sounds better than an HMF? i thought mine sounded awesome:eek2:

the hmf on my 400 sounded awesome too, but on the yfz, there a little on the loud side for me. i think mine sounds just about the same as my uncles crf450 dirtbike, or maybe a little louder.

A little loud,, Those things ring my ears and I have been around bikes and quads for a long time. Its the first pipe that I actually thought was JUST TO LOUD!

i BOUGHT A DMC ALIEN AND HAVE JETTING PROBLEMS .i HAVE 178, 48 PILOT AND 5TH POS ON STOCK NEEDLE AT AROUND 1100FT .AIRBOX LID OFF aNY SUGGESTIONS ? ALSO THIS PIPE RIPS SO FAR.

the HMF or DR.D? sampleez i know what ya mean, i heard a HMF on a 450r and that was LOUUD! sounded good tho:D

hey 214, do you have the cam mod done. if not, u should prolly move to a 45 pilot. and the main jet seems too rich for just a pipe, prolly needs to be a 170-175
