View Full Version : How to Make Throttle softer

i have a question on my bike the throttle and clutch are pretty hard to pull in or push in i feel this is why i get arm pump so bad i luded the clutch cable it helped alittle but its still ahrd and i havent touched the throttle yet i was just wondering if anyone could give me some advice

they make easy clutch pull things... and for the throttle....... quit being a baby and push it in..... or get a twist grip.

get a 400ex throttle. my cousin has one and its easier then the 400s.

I bought an adjustable thumb throttle from James Lucky. Solved my problem.

2 things you can do w/ the stock action

1 is remove the return helper spring in the throttle( try to make a shim to take up the slack, I did this and its great!!!)

2 is to take the return spring in the carb and ground it down around the outside of the spring

I did both and it made a big diffrence

what ever you do...DONT clip the carb spring shorter...it'll get stiffer

Get a 400ex throttle and notch the inside to allow it to push farther.
