Do UFO fenders need a stock/Maier tank cap?

The topic says it all. I only have Maier race plastic on the 300ex and I want to get some UFO plastic but I am afraid that I will need to buy a stock tank cap. Is this the case?

I'm pretty sure you will need the tank cap.
if you look at the pics of the UFO plastic, it's the same as factory stock.
the maier is all 1 piece, factory stock is (I think) 4 or 5 piece.
when you buy the UFO it does not come complete, you will need the hood, tank cap, and the upper body peices.

Yeah, that is what I thought about the UFO plastic. It really isn't worth it I suppose to buy the UFO plastic ($300) and then the hood and tank cap. I guess I will just have to get Maier or stock. Blah blah - so expensive compared to my 400. :mad:
