Well a few of you guys have heard me talking about selling my 450 ... well I'd much rather trade it for a 4x4 truck , but she could be up for sale also . I'm checking interest on it , to see what I could get ... so let's hear what you have to offer .

Here it goes .

2004 Yamaha YFZ 450 white with red frame .

Curtis Sparks full stainless steel exhaust system .
Curtis Sparks Air Filter .
Curtis Sparks Billet air filter adapter
Curtis Sparks jet kit .

AC Prop Peg nerfs
IMS/Roll front bumper
Pro Design Tether Cord
PEP Chain roller relocator
GT Thunder graphics kit ( not installed)
Fibe Industries carbon fiber front hood

Hiper Carbon Fiber rims
Single beadlock front with blue rings
Dual beadlock rears with integrated hubs and blue rings

Holeshot fronts ( 75% left)
Holeshot MXR rears ( 75% left)

I also have all the original parts off the bike , so I could sell the bike equiped the way it is or back to stock . The stock tires are studded for winter ridding ( I just put brand new ice screws in them 2 weeks ago ) . The screws can be removed and the tires will hold air perfect .... tires never seen dirt ( still have the green and yellow paint on them ) .

The quad was purchased last January and has maybe 30 hours MAXIMUM of ride time .

I would trade for a newer 4x4 quad of equal value or a 4x4 truck of equal value or sell . Let me know what you think or have .

I'm not interested in parting out anything just yet . If whoever buys it wants the bike stock , then everything will be for sale ...but until then she stays together . :blah:

Alright guys .... I've convinced myself to about 95% that the quad is gunna go . I want a 4x4 truck more than anything else .... so let's hear your trades and see some pictures .

Here's what I'm offering .

This thing is so new , that the paint isn't even rubbed off the frame from where boots rub .... and I've only done 2 oil changes ... the first service by the dealer and one time 2 days before I broke my leg .

I also have a BRAND NEW spare battery from Yamaha , in case of any battery issues .

Yeah I am for the time being .... maybe in a few years I'll get myself a 4x4 .... but I'm mostly done with this sport quad stuff ... I can't afford to risk getting hurt again . :(

Well like I said , I'd really like a trade for a 4x4 truck .... but if you can give me till about tomorrow afternoon , I need to call the bank and see how much I still owe on my loan . I need atleast what I owe on the loan . A rough guess would be about $6500 USD.

Would you be more interested in it with all the stock parts ... or the way it's setup right now ... of with just a few of the parts ??

Here's a bit more info about the new parts ( ie when i got them and stuff) and a little time line of the events that have happened since I bought the quad . As you'll see ... it is barely been used .

This bike is practically brand new . The Sparks exhaust , air filter , billet filter adapter were purchased about 2 weeks ago . The pipe has only been run for maybe 10 minutes of idling ... never taken out for a ride . The air filter hasn't even been oiled up yet cuz there is still snow on the ground , and I can't ride .

The bumper was bought in December and never been ridden with ... only installed .
The Carbon fiber hood was bought in September ... only installed and never ridden with either .

I bought the quad in January of 2004 ... and put a few hours on it . Did not ride in February of '04 cuz the lakes were slushy . March '04 I had surgery which kept my in the hospital for a month and wasn't able to ride till June '04 . I then received a new job which kept me busy 6 days a week with long hours so the quad was only used on a handfull of Sundays for a few hours . August 15th I was in a bad accident which left my right leg shattered to pieces ... the quad hasn't been touched since . It sits in the garage and gets started once a week to make sure the battery doesn't die out and to make sure things keep oiled .

Man Greg, I dont know, but $6500 US seems like a steal to me with all that stuff on it and considering it is barely used! A brand new one around here goes for close to $7000, so this bike would be quite the deal for me.

It is one sweet quad, but I just bought a 400ex a week ago so right now I' just a little bit short on cash:p

Good luck with selling it man. Best wishes.

Thanks man . And you're right ... whoever buys it will get a practically brand new quad . This quad was never taken to the MX track ... I only did pit riding with it . Like I said ... the paint isn't even rubbed off the frame like most quads have cuz of boot rubbing .

What I forgot to mention , is that the bike will be needed to be picked up . I CAN NOT ship this quad cuz I have no means to crate it or get it to a docking station . I will meet a potential buyer at the border of any US state that connects with the province of Ontario Canada . I'll take cash or certified cashiers check only . This quad does have a title also .

I never did any really hard riding with it . I've maybe gotten about 5 feet of air with it at the most . Other than that , it's been pit riding .

If anyone wants pics of any certain areas of the quad just let me know and I'll snap a few .

Thanks for the offer , but I cannot afford the insurance on a street bike .... it's WAY too high for a guy my age . My buddy offered me his 03 Kawi ZX600rr and when I called for insurance the lady laughed .... for just basic liability coverage it was $7500 a year and full coverage was about $12 600 . :ermm:

Quad18star

Well I got it listed on sites at $7500 ... and I can't budge on that price ... cuz even at that price I'll still owe money on my loan .

I paid $10500 CND for the quad which works out to $8600 US and I've added the parts that you see which have totalled me about $4000 CND . So any lower than $7500 US and I'll be losing my shirt and my mind .

Yep ... my leg was shattered while riding the quad ... some kid on a dirtbike wasn't using his head and now I'm paying the consequences .

I will let you guys know that there is a small crack in the plastic about an inch long . I'm waiting for the insurance company to issue my a check to replace the cracked pieces .... so I'll hand the check over to however when the $$ comes in so they can buy new plastics . The Check should be about $300 US cuz they'll replace the rear fenders and the right rad shroud piece .
