A arm help needed fast

i bent my right upper a arm and i am replacing it. the bolt that goes through the spindle will not come out. i cut it off so i could get the bent a arm off and i am still stuck with a stuck bolt. i need some tips fast before i light it on fire.

Are you talking about the ball joint bolt?

yep thats the one.
i hav e a short temper as you can see.

put a socket in between the ball joint rods, then unscrew the nut and it will press it out of the hub (you may need a couple washers to take up the space between the socket + nut)

take a look at the attached picture and it will make more sense..

Leo - do I need a special tool to get the bolts to seat into the holes (for lack of a better term) when I put them back in or can I just tighten them down?

nope, no special tool needed...

usually you can just tighten the nut down.. if the ball joint stud starts to spin, just use a c-clamp or big channel locks to squeeze the ball joint and spindle together, the taper will keep it from spinning..

Its a tapered hole, when you tighten the nut down it presses it in.

I'd post a picture of my toolbox and tools at work, but I wouldn't want you to gum up 'yer keyboard with any drool :D I've got (at least) $15k tied up in tools, and you won't find any craftsman either!

One side effect was I wound up with a darn nice set of craftsman tools (that I started out with) and they are now at the house, my 'home' tools ;) I think Craftsman make a good tool, they just can't stand up to me when I'm working..!

(craftsman chrome sockets, and snap-on 3/8 impact guns DO NOT mix well :D)

hehe,,,, I'm willing to trade pics, theres about 18k worth of Snap-On tools in my garage along with a Snap-on tool box on wheels.

Look in the back left and there the tool box, and its packed with snap-on tools.
