what do you guys think is the best overall under 350cc sport trail quad? i really dont think you need anything bigger than a 250ex, especially if you have the right tires and you know how to ride. all of my buddies have quads in the 200- 300 range. but just wonderin what everyone else thinks.. give this one a reply.. later

Yes i agree, go with a 300ex, throw a pipe on it, and your good to go, it has plenty of usable power for a rider who is just looking for fun, and plus it has reverse, which comes in handy on the trails.

i would say the 250ex because its pretty much the best mudder besides a utility..all u need to do is add a pipe jet kit and a filter and tires and then your ready 2 tackle the trails

i love my 250EX for trails. it is easy to get in and out of tight places. it also accelerates very well for how small of an engine it has.

the 250ex is a good competior for trails but it good use some more power. i would say its a toss up between the 300ex and the raptor 350/warrior. yes i have a lot of time on all of the machines.

i've been ridin for a while now including a 400ex , warrior, 250ex, and a 300 ex .. its between if u want to have a clutch or not? if so , go with a modded 250ex , if u want to use a clutch go with the 300ex

them 300ex rip pretty good for a 300 if u got a good filter and a pipe ... also i've taken the 300 through some pretty good mud , them dirt devils do a he** of a charm in mud

yellow250 dont just say a 250ex cuase thats the quad u have. there no way a 250ex is the best trail quad. its good for learning or a first qaud but your going to want somthing that has a clutch.

BINGO! the 250ex is decent for smaller riders on trails but does not come close to being the best. if your a honda fan go for the 300ex, if your a yamaha go get the raptor 350.

i would get the mojave, ive had a blaster, and a warrior, i think the mojave rides as good as the warrior, the warrior can beat a 300ex easy when i had my warrior i raced my friend that had a blaster he beat me but he had a jet kit, pipe, and no air box lid, when i only had a fmf slip on, i just got my mojave yesterday and smoked a blaster with a pipe, and jet kit. Well the last thing i would get is the blaster.....2 stroke= more headace than fun.
Iam really happy with my mojave i like it more than i did my warrior.. exs suck

between the 300 and warrior its all rider is top speed there is only like a mile an hour difference and any little fastor can bring those number closer. and to say exs suck isnt to smart considering i guarntee the majority of the people on this site ride a ex or other honda

well i didnt want to put it ou like this but 300EXS SUCK, and my friend used to drag race i didnt i still smoke him off the line, he weighs maybe 20 more lbs but a warrior weighs 420 dry so it dont matter the warrior is faster than the 300 the blaster is faster than the warrior and my mojave is faster than them all!

just so u know, the warrior weighs 400 pounds dry, and the banshee is the fastest quad under 350cc. but like the thread says, best trail quad. top speed means nothing. my friend has a 450r and i have a 250ex and i can keep up with him in tight woods.

My god, i can definetaly tell you dont know **** about quads. First off, all your talkign about is a flat drag race that doesnt mean ****.

If you want to get into the most dependably trail quad it would prob go something like...300ex, warrior/blaster, then the mojave!

If you want to get into racing issues....I race youth production/sport class GNC nationals. I have only seen one mojave show up at a race, and well, it didnt quailfy....couldnt hang with the 300ex's. And well Blasters cant really hang with 300ex's, a couple kids at nationals can but thats it.

Basically, 300ex's are the best sport class quad, and all around trail quad under 300cc's....so you go study up on quads then get back to me when you have a good comeback.

by the way...I will race your mojave on my 300ex, whether its a drag race, woods race, MX race or TT race...doesnt bother me..;) its been nice chatting with you bud....

think that all you want, but my blaster has been a much more reliable gncc quad than my 300ex had ever been

whats the cc rules for a 300ex and a blaster at the gnc's? i know if its 200 for blasters and 300 for 300ex's, the blasters sure cant be losing from lack of power. there probably just being out handled right?

in dirtwheels they said the raptor 350 haddles like a pig and is very hard to do a wheely thats what i heard

IMO i would prob put the 250ex in front of the mojave the people u drag with the 300s and warriors and blasters have got to be really mest up or mentally retarted

NAW, all yall just got 300 and 250exs so your talking good about what you got, u never raced a mojave, and the guy that didnt qaulify just cant drive. THE MOJAVE HAS WAY MORE ADVANCED MOTOR THAN 300 and will smoke a 250 all day, and the raptor 350 is kinda hard to wheelie for some one under about 150..

a warrior definately wont smoke a 300. even tho they have more cc's they way alot. a 300 will run with the new raptor 350 but will lose by a little becuase of the wieght reduction.

when my 300 was stock i beat a warrior, SMOKED A MOJAVE (even with its ADVANCE motor), and beat a 220 blaster...and i dont really consider 250exs in this b.c of non manual

again ... you can not go 20cc or 30cc over for the blaster. the smallest big bore kit you can get is a 240cc. What did he say it was bored 20 over? That means 20 thousandth's which is the next size over which is done to take out small imperfections in the cylinder wall or to take an out of round or out of spec cylinder to spec with a slightly larger new piston. My friends blaster and mine are both .020 over and it makes NO diffrence.

My friends blaster (which is ported) takes piped 300ex's, 400ex's, warrior's, raptor 350's. This is in a drag race. Just so you don't ***** about saying drag racing is nothing it takes them on the track and trail aswell which is mostly rider.(it also has a arms, axle, swinger ect vs ex's with axles and a arms..)

the 300ex is the king in its class...the new Raptor 350 isnt as good as the ol' 300....the 300 is awesome in the trails and yea u need to be a good rider but a good trail quad always helps when riding with friends!!!;)

im gonna have to say not to get the 250ex...when i got mine back last summer. i had it for about a month and was ready for something bigger. i still have it, and im still ready for something bigger...dont get me wrong, i do like the little thing, but auto clutch gets boring but thank god i get to trade in for a 400 this fall.

Same, he said it the best!! the 250 doesnt have great power...and does get boring...aq 300 actually wore me out after 3 days of non stop riding, the 250 i could ride like 1 week or more and be bored and not tired....i love the clutch

lmao, there are difinatly more than just 240's. 80 over is a 212cc motor, you can also strok a blaster 4mm (15 cc). power wise, blasters are the king of this class, handleing wise, a 300 will always win

96Mojave you need to get your **** stright. Mojave or junk just like the warpig there junk thats all i got to say about those 2 quads now the 250EX is a nice quad for a 8 year old but it just dount have no balls.And top speed means nuthing.

Now lets talk about some real quads 300EX and a blaster. So What if the blaster dount have revers so what it's real short and you can wip it around real easy. It has real good power and it short and light weght. you can throw it around real easy.The 300 now i am not saying this because i have a 300. I have raced the **** out of it for 2 years and i have just know had my first problem. It has great power real good in tight woods turns nice and is alot of fun to ride.

Some of you need to know what you are talking about befor you start talking ****.

well i can speak for myself that a 300ex can kill a warrior hands down in a straight line race.. i hve a 2000 300ex with itp holeshots a kn filter and its jetted.. the warrior also has holeshots and a filter.. i can pull him all day long, in the trails, racing in a straight line, wut ever it is im always in front.. i can vouche for the 300ex it is a nice machine
