:( that stinks

Durablues are very poor. My friend had one on his raptor, and the locknut stripped out (poor durablue quality), so he got it off, but then it took him a month and 3 different lock nuts before he got one that worked, and even the one that worked still didn't fit it quite right. it was off like .0001111 and it still wiggled on the axle. Then trying to take the little sucker off to replace the axle bearings, the allens that lock the nut on stripped. So he just wrapped it with electrical tape, and traded the raptor in. Best move he ever made, because that raptor caused him nothing but problems, and the axle was one of them.

A friend of mine has run a durablue on his 250r for 6 years and it hasnt bent, broke, cracked and what have you. I guess theres a few out there that are a little defected.

I don't know why durablue doesn't make there axels stronger, they have to know they are crap.

LSR or RPM are the strongest IMO

i would say the RPM's are the strongest, although the LSR ones i heard are top notch too

durablue sucks
i have yet to see anbody in my 5 years of racing break a lone star axle i've been to atleast 600 races and still haven't seen a lone star break but have seen more than 30 durablue axles break in half at the track
go with lonestar it's really the best
since u have to get a new axle

after i send this one back and get another i think im gonna sell it and buy a better axle...but i think some may just be defected cuz my freind raced with one all season and had a few rough landings and he did have no problem.

i think the reason they break is because the way the sprocket hub is put on there is a groove in the axle for a c clip to hold it on where as the stock axle sprocket hub is on like a sleeve over the axle that has to come off by sliding it to the carrier so there is no ned for a c clip. this makes sence to me cuz every one ive seen broken broke in that spot

I'd go LoneStar. They have a lifetime warrenty and I have heard that they either straighten your axle or send you a new 1.

I have heard that it takes awhile for Durablue to get back to you, my friend had to run his stock axle for almost 3 months, waiting on Durablue.

The Durabreaks snap easier because the metal compound is "harder" than what is used by LSR and other companies. The softer metals will bend instead of breaking.

Harder = brittle and this is not a good combo when you ride hard!!

just to let you guys know alot of axles are breaking, pat brown went though around 6 LSRs last year and like 3 RPMs, he tried the team axle and didnt break it. but now for 05 he is riding partially for LSR so he has to run lsr but he gets an axle that only the lsr team is able to have and is not sold. i am currently running lsr and have no intent to change but from what i hear from the pro riders that team axle is workin good
