I'm thinking about getting an AC or DG six pack rack for my 400ex to carry around a small gas jug. Would either of these brands work good for that?? And what would be the best way to strap down the gas jug??
Don't use anything that stretches, like bunjee cords!! The can will bounce loose. Cinch straps don't work well either, you might want to try ratchet straps... Carry a fire exstinguisher too. Since most gas cans aren't vented properly, they usually puke out gas when they get shook up (fire hazard and messy).
A safer way, get either an IMS tank (4.3 gallon), or clark tank (5.5 gallon). I got the IMS tank, and can get 100-120 miles before I run out. I think I paid $175.00 direct from IMS.

Thanks for the info. I didn't think straps or bungees would work to good. Is the IMS tanks easy to install??
