bombardier carb on 400ex

it is the stock 42mm carb off of a bombardier ds 650. just wondering if anyone tried to fit it on the ex. it looks rather large and also the slide is vaccuum assisted. i have figured out a way to hook up hte vaccuum line but, i don't know will this be worth trying? any comments welcome. and yes i do know about the 450r carb working and fcr's and edelbrocks, but this one was given for free, just wondering if it may perform just as well and if it will fit up.

no that carb wont work right on your 400ex.if you had a big bore and some motor work i imagine anything can be "tinkered" with long enough to get decent performance.theres a lag with the vaccum assist slide as well.well since it was free and you have some spare time,try andget it to mount up and play with it,you never now..
