I'm going to be building a steel jump over my spring break here in a couple weeks and just have a few questions. It is probably going to be about 8ft tall, 6ft wide, and about 20ft long. First, what angle would you recommend, I was thinking about 39 degrees but am not 100% sure. Will probably have it set at about 40 feet for a while until we get used to it. Second, I want to try and do this as cheap as possible, so am wondering where I could put some smaller tubing. I am planning on making the outer frame and supports out of 2x2 .120 wall. Should I make the tranny out of the same thing? For the braces across the tranny I was wondering if 1x1 tubing would be think enough? Any help and pointers would really be appreciated!
