Is there anything i should look for? Problem years? Common problems? just general BS that i need to look for to see if i;m gettin a good deal....

thinking/trying to get rid of the 86 (Don;t i need a pair of Two strokes and my 88 is favoritable over the 86) and i love the way a 400 feels, Long distance wheelies and just a general good quad i like the way it feels and handles ( I would consider a 450R but it sits to high for me need a +2 steering stem if you ask me) but i was just wondering what all you guys though. thanks fella's

get the 400ex. i have an '04 and love it, havent had one problem with it (yet) . they are a pretty durable quad and can take a beating.

if your gettin an '05 400ex, it has reverse now but i heard (dont quote me) that it is actually a little slower because of the gearing. i still like the older ex's because im not to sure about the 450r plastics on it.

Do it, they rock. I have an 05 400 and love it. They changed the front sprocket from 15 to 14 which is better for trails (and wheelies :D) where you never see 5th gear. Its only $15 for a new sprocket though if you want to change it and go ride some dunes. If your ridin dunes alot though you should just buy a 450. Either way, ride red
